Daniel Jackson is a reporter based in central Connecticut whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Times and The Chattanooga Pulse, the alt-weekly in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He helps cover the courts in New England for Courthouse News Service.
Daniel started practicing journalism in 2010, freelancing for his hometown paper, The Berlin Citizen. After an internship with The Washington Times in 2012, he spent the summer as The Citizen’s interim editor. In 2013, he earned a degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Journalism from Bryan College.
The Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists awarded him a first place business writing award for a 2013 piece he wrote about O.F. Mossberg & Sons after the Sandy Hook shooting.
